New Forest Drama Festival 2007
It is with great regret that we have had to cancel the New Forest Drama Festival this year. As the deadline for festival entries approached, we had only received details of a handful of entries. Despite ringing round various theatre groups, we were unable to muster enough support to make the festival viable.

This has happened before, with the 2005 festival being cancelled for similar reasons. Unfortunately, falling interest in festivals seems to be a national problem - we have recently received a plea asking us to consider taking a play up to a festival in Yorkshire!

We still believe that drama festivals are incredibly worthwhile, and hope we will be able to encourage enough groups to take part in 2008. The committee has however decided that from now on we will only run the festival every other year.
