New Forest Players welcome actors and actresses who are not currently members of the society to audition for productions.
Production week: Wednesday 29th October — Saturday 1st November 2008
Auditions are to be held on Sunday 31st September 2008 at The Performing Arts Centre at Ballard School at 2.30pm.
The play is about a group of schoolchildren and their teacher who visit a government underground bunker just as nuclear bombs fall on the country. The play follows the ensuing eight months and the experiences, struggles and relationships of the children with each other and the few adults around them.
The play contains a number of interesting and challenging roles for both adults and teenagers.
Ted Boyle, a teacher (male30s/40s)
Adam Burroughs, engineer (male 30s/50s)
Mary Burroughs, his wife, (female 30s/50s)
The Students: 7 girls and 7 boys ranging from 12-16. Some have leading roles, others are very minor, so it is an ideal opportunity to get involved as mush as you feel able.
Dr Ainsworth, (male 40s/60s)
The Colonel (male 40s/60s)
Two Soldiers (male - any age)
