Introduction
The New Forest Players is a leading Amateur Drama Group in New Milton in the New Forest Area of South England.
NFP is an amateur dramatic society that is now in its 81st year. We have an active membership and each year we aim to produce at least three plays.
Our home is the superb Performing Arts Centre at Ballard School, New Milton. This is the venue for all main productions and Club Nights.
Club Nights are held regularly throughout the year. These fun and informal evenings include one-act plays, talks, quizzes and various other entertainments — visitors are always welcome. Workshops covering various aspects of theatre for all ages are also held at various times throughout the season.
To keep us in touch, and our diaries synchronised, we have a monthly newsletter ‘Contact’. |
Next Production
A Pack of Lies by Hugh Whitemore
Directed by Maureen Beven
22nd - 25th July 2009
Based on a true story, the plot centres on the relationship between Bob and Barbara Jackson and their friends and neighbours Peter and Helen Kroger. The suburban cosiness is shattered when Peter and Helen are arrested and charged with espionage. This play is not only a tense and enthralling thriller, but also a sensitive study in how repeated lying can undermine even the closest of friendships.
